Mr. Ranil De Silva

Mr. Ranil de Silva set up the Colombo office of the renowned multinational advertising giant Leo Burnett, where he served as Managing Director for almost two decades.

Mr. De Silva started his professional career with JWT Colombo as their first Sri Lankan employee and rose to the position of International Vice-President and Managing Director of the Colombo office. He was posted to JWT Jakarta and also served as a Regional Account Director for JWT Asia Pacific based in Singapore.

He serve as the President of the International Advertising Association (IAA) Sri Lanka Chapter for two terms and was also a member of the worldwide Board of Directors of the IAA.

Dawi Investment Trust (Pvt) Ltd

Dawi Investment is a highly successful investment company with holdings in several quoted and unquoted companies, with a focus on the financial, manufacturing, real estate and retail industries.

Mr. Peter Suren Goonewardene

Mr. Suren Goonewardene is the former Chairman of Bharti Airtel Lanka. He was the company's CEO/Managing Director until recently. Prior to joining Bharti Airtel Lanka, Mr. Goonewardene served as the Managing Director of Lanka Bell and Group Senior Vice President Retail Business at Dialog Telekom.

Suren holds a bachelor degree in Business Accounting from Monash University, Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.

He is a Fellow member of the Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, a fellow member of the Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and a member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Executive Committee of the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Manesh Fernando

Mr. Manesh Fernando is currently the General Manager of Colombo’s leading five-star hotel, the Hilton Colombo.

Manesh’s twenty-year career in hospitality has included 19 years with the Hilton worldwide chain, in Sri Lanka, Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand. He has wide experience in different types of properties, including city hotels, resorts, airport hotels and luxury apartments.

Prior to taking up his current post in 2013, he served as General Manager of the Hilton Colombo Residence for five years.

At an early stage in his career, he was selected for the prestigious Hilton Elevator fast track corporate trainee programme. He has since distinguished himself by serving as Director of Operations at four different Hilton properties, including the Hilton Colombo. He also served as Revenue Manager of the Hilton Hanoi Opera in Vietnam.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Studies with Honours from the University of Buckingham in the United Kingdom. He had his early schooling at St. Thomas College, Mount Lavinia in Sri Lanka where he represented the school in athletics; and also schooled at the Nairobi Academy in Kenya and Victory Primary School in Nigeria.

Mr. B.R.L. Fernando

A Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.

Mr. Fernando is the Chairman of First Guardian Equities and serves as a Non-Executive Director of Link Natural Products (Pvt) Limited, Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC, St. Nicholas’ Education Services Limited, the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), and as Co-Chairman of the National Council for Economic Development (Agriculture Cluster).

He was previously Chairman of CIC Holdings PLC, Chemanex PLC, Akzo Nobel Paints Lanka (Private) Limited, CIC Agri Businesses (Private) Limited,CIC Feeds (Private) Limited, CIC Vetcare (Pvt) Limited, CIC Bio Security Breeder Farms Limited, Commercial Development Company PLC and Commercial Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Limited.
